HandUnit continued. “Let’s check the light again.”
Will looked at Mike. “Okay, maybe your claims aren't as ludicrous as I thought!”
Mike said nothing as he absent-mindedly pressed the button. A ballerina now twirled on stage, four miniature ballerinas dancing next to her.
“Now, view the window on your right,” HandUnit continued, “This is the Funtime Auditorium, where Funtime Foxy teaches kids to play and share. Let’s turn on the light and see what Funtime Foxy is up to.”
“Please be there….” Will hoped as Mike turned on the light.
She wasn’t there.
“It looks like Funtime Foxy has better things to do. Let’s motivate Funtime Foxy with a controlled shock.”
Mike gestured to the keypad, signalling that it was Will’s turn. He reluctantly pressed the button, then turned on the light. He was surprised that she still wasn’t there (Shocking, isn’t it?).
“Let’s try another controlled shock.”
He pressed it again. Luckily, she came to the stage.
“Great job.” The vent opposite the one they entered through opened with a dull thud. “In front of you is another vent. Crawl through it to reach the Circus Gallery.”
Will gestured to the shaft. “You go first.”
“No way! You could bolt, for all I know!”
“Fine!” And with that, Will crawled into the vent.
